Our assessments are generally broken down into 3 sessions: Initial Intake Assessment, Testing, and Feedback (or results).
How It Works
These sessions usually take place over the course of 2 or 3 separate appointments, depending on your needs, availability, and expected length of testing. Sometimes we can meet for the initial intake assessment and testing all in one day, and sometimes we can meet for the initial intake assessment one day and the testing is conducted on a separate day.
Either way, you can expect to have your results within about 10 business days after the testing day. We score and interpret all measures completed and put together an extensive report. Your provider will go over the results with you to ensure everything is clear and makes sense to you.
Initial Intake Appointment
During your initial intake appointment, you will meet with the doctor and have a chance to discuss any concerns or reasons bringing you in. Once we collect a comprehensive background history, we will use this information to decide which measures will be used to yield answers to the concerns that brought you in.
Assessment & Testing
During the assessment, you can expect this appointment to last anywhere from approximately 1-5 hours, depending on your presenting concerns, availability, and measures being conducted. We customize the measures we use to your specific situation.
Feedback or Results
Feedback (results), after the assessment is completed, we take time to gather, score, and interpret all results. We then put everything together into an extensive, comprehensive report. Please expect approximately 10 business days for your report to be ready and for you to have the results. This report can then be used to present to the school, or other services and treatment providers.
